Evvy Named As Webby Winner in 27th Annual Webby Awards Internet Celebration

The Female-Founded Biotech Startup Is Honored with the Award for ‘Best Social - Education & Discovery’ for the Social Media Campaign Surrounding The Brand’s Launch of Equal Research Day

NEW YORK, NY - April 26, 2023 – Evvy - the female-founded biotech startup demystifying the female body starting with the vaginal microbiome, announced today that it has been named a Webby Winner in the 27th Annual Webby Awards Internet Celebration under the category ‘Best Social - Education & Discovery’ for the launch of the first annual Equal Research Day last year. The Education & Discovery category honors a social media campaign that advocates education and discovery of science, history, animals/wildlife, the environment, etc.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. The inaugural Equal Research Day campaign launched on June 10, 2022. June 10th marks the anniversary of the law that finally mandated the inclusion of women in US clinical research in 1993 (!) Think Equal Pay Day but for the gender health gap — an opportunity to raise awareness for the existing disparities in scientific and medical research and tell our stories.
